Closing Time

**The last customer has left. Tomorrow's bills haven't.**

You own a struggling diner. After closing, your booth becomes the office: invoices, a calculator, a calendar, a credit statement, and a ledger that doesn't quite add up to an easy answer.

Plan the next payments, examine a financing offer, and decide what the business can afford. A busy night doesn't guarantee enough cash on the day wages are due. A small installment doesn't necessarily mean a cheap loan. Sometimes protecting the future means making the diner smaller—or knowing when to close.

- Several possible outcomes, including restructuring and orderly closure. Remaining debt doesn't disappear when you switch off the lights.

- **Untimed planning**, transaction previews, session practice, explicit restarts, and optional local saves.

- Larger text, keyboard controls, high contrast, reduced motion, and adjustable sound.

There is no money bonus for choosing a supposedly correct answer and no wealth leaderboard. The consequences follow the scenario's financial model.

## Take the closing ledger with you

Copy, download, or print a local practice report at the ending or when stopping early. Teachers can import reports in the built-in reader and export a CSV summary without creating a game account.

Reports contain no student identifiers by default. How they are handed in may identify the sender. They are editable practice records, not verified grades, and the diner’s final bank balance is not a financial-literacy score. Nothing is automatically submitted.
